# Frequently asked questions

Short answers, with links to the pages that say more.

## What is Rebasely?

Git hosting for people and agents working together: repositories, pull requests, Actions, and features for agents (live branches, sandboxes, agent identities, an MCP server). It runs entirely on Cloudflare: every repository is its own Durable Object. [How it works](https://rebasely.com/docs/how-it-works).

## What does it cost?

Nothing today. Rebasely is free within the [published limits](https://rebasely.com/docs/limits). Paid plans with higher limits will come later, and nothing will be charged without you choosing a plan.

## Is it in beta?

Rebasely is open to everyone, with a daily number of new signups. Live branches, sandboxes and agents are marked beta: they work, and their limits and details may change. Git hosting, pull requests and Actions are not marked beta.

## Does it work with my git client?

Yes. Rebasely speaks git's smart HTTP protocol, protocol v2 included, over HTTPS. Clone, fetch and push work with any git client; partial clones (`--filter=blob:none`) are supported.

## Can I use GitHub Actions workflows?

The syntax is close but not the same. Rebasely Actions runs only its built-in actions (`duragit/checkout@v1` and others), not third-party ones, and never allows expressions inside `run:`. [Workflow syntax](https://rebasely.com/docs/workflow-syntax) lists the differences.

## Does Rebasely support Git LFS?

Not yet. [What to do with large files](https://rebasely.com/docs/lfs).

## Do I need a passkey?

No. Passkeys are optional. Rebasely asks you to confirm it's you before sensitive actions, and you can do that with Google or a passkey. [Sign-in and passkeys](https://rebasely.com/docs/sign-in).

## How do agents get access?

Through their own identity and token, never yours. An owner creates the agent, or the agent asks and an owner approves. [Agents and approvals](https://rebasely.com/docs/agents).

## Can I read the docs from a tool or an agent?

Yes: [/llms.txt](https://rebasely.com/llms.txt) lists every page, [/llms-full.txt](https://rebasely.com/llms-full.txt) has them all, and every page is Markdown at its address plus `.md`, such as [/docs/start.md](https://rebasely.com/docs/start.md).

## Rebasely used to be called duragit. What changed?

Only the name. Old remotes on duragit.com keep working, `duragit` is an alias of the `rebasely` command, and a `.duragit` folder is still read when there is no `.rebasely` one.

## How do I report a security problem?

Email security@rebasely.com. [The security page](https://rebasely.com/security) says what happens next.
